Insane that even with the pandemic there was only 3 tables with 4 guests each. Saturday afternoon and it's not 90° out, surprised it wasn't busier. There was one lady taking orders, making drinks and serving food. The gentleman in the kitchen served and cleaned up the tables. Amazing how that worked out for them at that time because if 2 or 3 more parties came in they'd be buried. Great wings as usual and burgers are always on point. Eat and drink local!

This is my favorite place in Pittsburgh besides PNC Park. Excellent beer selection, both tap and bottle. Really cool people working the bar, even if they do get really slammed, because the place gets busy whether there's a sporting event going on in town or not. The food is hefty and delicious. I had the pizza fries. The people next to me had the nacho fries and wings, and I wish I had gone that route instead, but only because they looked amazing...

This is my favorite local bar to hang out, grab a brew, and hang with friends. The bartenders are friendly, funny and always at your service. The mac and cheese is a great pick from the menu if you are in the market for some munch. Another lesser known but interesting and useful thing to know about Smokin' Joe's is the room upstairs available to rent for functions. There's a bar and plenty of seating, a great find for a birthday party or other special occasion...

Smokin' Joe's is such a hidden gem in the world of bar food! The mac and cheese is a huge portion of thick, rich cheesy goodness easily sharable between 2-3 people (for only $7!), the burgers are consistently cooked perfectly, and the wings are great and almost always discounted. Plus, there's a massive selection of beer! The food often takes a bit to come out, so I wouldn't go there if you were starving or in a hurry, but otherwise, Smokin' Joe's is a great choice for a satisfying meal.

Best beer selection in Pittsburgh. Bartenders are quick to make sure your glass is full. The food has gotten better over the years. It's not a five star restaurant, but the wings are tasty. Especially on Thursdays when it's 40 wings and a pitcher of miller light for $20. That's a deal you just can't beat, I wish the beer was a better choice, but it goes well with the wings. Pool table is cheap, only $0.50 per game...
